Building Global Solidarity
“Solidarity is not a feeling of vague compassion or shallow distress at the misfortunes of so many people, both at home and in far flung regions of the world. On the contrary, it is a firm and persevering determination to commit oneself to the common good; that is, to say, the good of all, and of each individual, because we are all really, each other’s keeper.”
Pope John Paul II
In response to the Holy Father’s call for Christians everywhere to be, not only united, but also mindful of their lesser fortunate brothers and sisters living under economic hardships, KUSARD strives to bring together, our benefactors with those whom their acts of mercy have touched and helped change the quality of their lives. To this end, we arrange Mission Trips for our supporters to visit the sites where the projects they support are located; to see for themselves and to have a glimpse of what their support has done and get a chance to mingle with the local people to be thanked by them in person and to hear their stories first hand.
These Mission Trips have had tremendous impact on both our supporters and the communities they visit. They are very enriching cultural experiences which they bring back to their home countries and share with others and thus become advocates for our cause.
